Cooking Methods

Cooking is a passion of playing with food to turn them into something very beautiful and delicious. For me, cooking is not just making food to satisfy your appetite, it's rather a culinary art. If you want to cook good food, you should learn different Methods of Cooking.
Methods of Cooking are some basic techniques you follow while cooking in your kitchen. There are also a lot of cooking techniques that you may not even know it exist, if you are not yet that much into cooking. Generally we can classify the Methods of Cooking in following main categories and their sub-categories.

  • Dry Heat Cooking
Dry Heat Cooking Method is applied to those food which do not use water or other cooking liquids. Food is dry, normally flavored and then heated until they cook.

  • Moist Heat Cooking
In Moist heat cooking method, liquid is used to cook the food, may it be water, oil or any such medium. Moist heat cooking actually cover the cooking methods of most of indoor food varieties.

 These are the cooking techniques that will basically cover cooking a wide range of food varieties. It still may not cover all cooking methods but I will be adding more methods on the list as soon as I get to know more about such methods. You will need to use two or more of these cooking methods while preparing foods quiet so often in the kitchen.
Above were the methods of cooking the food, but that is not enough. To present a beautiful dish you need to know about the following methods which are not technically cooking but yet you cannot serve the proper food without them.
